Dr. Abtin Shahriari is an ivy league-educated, board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery who has performed over 10,000 surgeries including dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, complex maxillofacial reconstruction, and high-risk trauma cases at local Level 1 trauma centers. His extensive education and surgical training includes over 8 years at Emory University and the University of Pennsylvania, making Dr. Abtin extremely specialized
in the field of oral maxillofacial surgery. In addition to working in private practice, he often travels internationally as a lecturer on dental implants and oral surgery. Dr. Abtin serves
as a clinical assistant professor of oral maxillofacial surgery at Georgia Regents University and enjoys volunteering his surgical skills treating patients locally and internationally. He is also an adjunct professor at the national and international implant-fellowship program at NYU School of Dental Medicine.
In the Atlanta Area, Dr. Abtin operates two state-of-the-art surgical centers, which are the only oral surgery offices certified by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) in the entire state of Georgia. This certification demonstrates a superior level of safety with strict adherence to guidelines that maximize patient protection during outpatient surgery. AAAHC certification makes his office stand out in
the Atlanta area as one highly committed to and focused on patient safety. Dr.Abtinmaintainsthehighestsafetystandards,andconsiders patient safety one of his foremost priorities when it comes to all procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions, jaw reconstructions, and dental implants. The cornerstone of Dr. Abtin’s patient care philosophy is that each patient is treated as a unique individual with unique needs, and he strives to provide the safest patient-centered care each step of the way.
His offices are at the forefront of innovation and feature the latest
3-D virtual reality surgical planning technology allowing for improved prediction of surgical outcomes, and a precise, individualized surgical plan.
The 3-D anatomy of the craniofacial skeleton is one of the most complex with regards to reconstruction and aesthetic results. Dr. Abtin’s3-D virtual preoperative planning provides patients with the opportunity to achieve optimal surgical outcomes, both functionally and aesthetically, as well as faster recovery times.
